Alafia River... Its name ripples with history, as fluid and layered as the water it carries. Spanish explorers called it the Hunting River, a name heavy with the purpose of pursuit. For the Mocoso Indians, it was the River of Fire, a title that feels alive, flickering, as if the water itself could blaze with something uncontainable.
